    Searching

I have a confession. When the wife isn’t home, and the children are sleeping, I enjoy popping on a good ol’ gut-wrencher of a movie and try not to shed a tear. A lie, of course, and my wife knows all too well when I start fidgeting, turning away, rubbing the sleep from my eyes over a mock yawn, I’m just covering emotions I’d soon keep to myself. Why? That’s a therapy session I’m not keen on admitting to or sharing. The Squid Bowl

What is a squid bowl? It’s a valid question considering it’s the name of my news feed. I’d like to tell you it holds a deep, mesmerizing impact on the state of the world and the people who live in it. I’d like to, but I won’t. First off, let me introduce you to the squid bowl. That being said, the question has been asked… Where is the launch party? It’s a good question. Do I host it at a bookstore? A bar? A coffee shop? I like the bar idea, just in case anyone was wondering. I have people to talk to other people. If I have to do it, I’m going in buzzed. The next question is of course, when? I suppose February 28th would be a good date, book release and all, but, as a new kid on…

The turtle is on the move.

Update: Just a quick notice now that we’re building some momentum. Cover design has been approved and is in full graphic swing! It’s not my initial concept, but I think it’ll be pretty sharp once the graphics team finishes. Still waiting on the second edits. I’m hoping (demanding really really nice-like) we’ll see these this month, then finally move into marketing! Woohoo! ARC reviewers are starting to flow in. Those who receive the advanced copies of the novel may (and are encouraged to) leave a review at whatever on-line store they typically shop at. No obligation to do so. Once I switch to marketing, I’ll post the release date.  …
